The Challenge

Starbucks customers placing large group orders often experience slow checkout times, confusion in customization options, and difficulty tracking multiple drinks in a single order.

Baristas also face workflow disruptions when handling bulk orders manually, leading to longer wait times and potential mistakes in order fulfillment.

The solution

The Starbucks Large Order Kiosk is a touchscreen interface designed for bulk ordering efficiency. The system enables customers to quickly select, customize, and review multiple drinks in one streamlined flow. A real-time order summary panel ensures accuracy, and a smart grouping feature categorizes similar drinks to optimize preparation for baristas. By focusing on speed, clarity, and ease of customization, the kiosk improves both customer satisfaction and in-store efficiency.
